Buying Ticketmaster Gift Cards

You can buy online at ticketmaster.co.nz/giftcards and select between a physical or e-Gift card.

Yes, you will be given the option to write a personal message when purchasing your Gift Card online. Your message will be included with your order. You will be able to preview your message before you confirm your order.

Yes, once you have selected the first Gift Card there is a button at the bottom of the screen (next to the “Go to payment” button), which says “add another Gift Card”. You can use this multiple time to add as many Gift Cards as you want, up to the basket limit of $450. If you want to order multiple cards with a larger total value, please see the details for Bulk Orders below.

No, it is not possible use a Gift Card to purchase a Gift Card.

Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards are activated at the time of purchase. If you have received a Gift Card from one of our corporate partners, your card will have already been activated for your convenience.

Ticketmaster e-Gift Cards

These are great for last minute gifts! You just order online and instead of waiting for a plastic card through the post, we’ll email all the details directly to the person you’re giving it to. We can do that straight away, or you can choose a specific date - it’s completely up to you.

Yes, you can send the e-Gift Card to your own email address. Once you have collected the e-Gift Card and received the PDF you can to print it off.

Yes, you can collect the e-Gift Card and forward the PDF to the recipient yourself if you prefer.

Spending Ticketmaster Gift Cards

The Ticketmaster Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards can be used as full or part payment in the purchase of tickets, and many of the associated services and merchandise sold online at Ticketmaster. The Gift Card may also be redeemable at participating outlets, venues and box offices.

For Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards you can check your balance by entering the card number on our balance check page here. Please remember that there is no facility on our website for you to store the balance to use later. You will need to enter the card number at the time of booking.

Select the tickets for your event and proceed to the checkout page. On the checkout please select Gift Card as the method of payment. Enter the 16-digit Gift Card number, and the 3-digit security number/PIN. If there is still an outstanding balance once you have entered your Gift Card, you can either enter another Gift Card or select another method of payment (credit/debit card), until the total balance is cleared, and the booking is complete.

The security number/PIN is on the back of your plastic Gift Card, on the right. For your security it will be covered with a scratch panel which you should only remove when you are ready to redeem your Gift Card. For an e-Gift Card, the security number/PIN will be contained in the pdf that you receive by email once you follow the link to collect your e-Gift Card.

The Gift Card number is the long number in the middle on the back of your plastic Gift Card. For an e-Gift Card, the Gift Card number will be contained in the pdf that you receive by email once you follow the link to collect your e-Gift Card.

No, the order number that you receive when you place a Gift Card order on our website, if the reference that you should use if you need to raise a query with us about an order you have place. This is not the Gift Card number that you will redeem on our website. Yes, you can make part payment with your e-Gift Card and make up the balance with a credit or debit card.

Yes, you can use your Gift Card to pay for multiple bookings until either the balance on the card reaches zero or the card expires.

Our Gift Cards/e-Gift Cards can only be used in the country that they are purchased from. For example, NZ Gift Cards can only be used for New Zealand events. You can purchase Gift cards / e-Gift Cards for all Ticketmaster Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards online here. Please make sure you purchase cards for the correct country and currency.

Ticketmaster Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards can be redeemed for events sold on our own websites, tickets sold on partner websites with their own checkouts may not have the ability to process our Gift Cards.

Lost / Stolen and Expired Ticketmaster Gift Cards

Your e-Gift Card will be sent via email and you will have the ability to download a PDF version, which you can save for your convenience. The Gift Card is not replaceable if lost or stolen, so it's very important that you keep them safe until you’re ready to make a booking.

Yes, our Gift Cards / e-Gift Cards are activated at the time of purchase, this is the start date, and the point at which the expiry date is set. If you need to check your cards expiry date, you can find it by using the balance check page here.

This is not possible - our Gift Cards are valid for 12 months. Please remember to check your cards expiry date and use your card before it expires.

Terms and Conditions

1.1 Your Card is issued by Ticketmaster NZ Ltd, a company registered in New Zealand with company number 1587216 of 23 Customs Street, Auckland, New Zealand ("Ticketmaster"). 1.2 The Card contains the monetary value which was paid, in advance, at the point of purchase. It is not a credit card, charge card, cheque guarantee card, or debit card and the balance on your Card will not earn any interest. 1.3 Your Card is valid for 12 months from the date of activation. 1.4 It is non-refundable and non-returnable, except in accordance with your legal rights. 1.5 Your Card has no cash redemption value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

2.1 You can purchase a Card from Ticketmaster by telephone on 09 970 9700, online at Ticketmaster.co.nz/giftcards or in store at any participating retailer. 2.2 Your Card will be activated and ready to use at the point of purchase. However, it may take up to three working days for an e-Gift Card to be activated and ready to use.

3.1 The Card can only be used to buy tickets (including paying any applicable fees) to participating events and other event-related products through Ticketmaster in New Zealand ("Ticketmaster Products"). 3.2 You cannot use your Card to buy tickets for events that use Credit Card Entry (being where the credit card used to purchase tickets is scanned at entry to the event) 3.3 You cannot use your Card to buy ticket insurance or to redeem any goods or services other than Ticketmaster Products. 3.4 You cannot use your Card to buy tickets for events taking place outside of New Zealand.

4.1 Your Card can be redeemed in part or in full through Ticketmaster either: (a) by telephoning on 09 970 9700; or (b) online at Ticketmaster.co.nz for events at selected venues (when available) 4.2 You cannot redeem your Card on any websites other than Ticketmaster.co.nz even if they are websites which are linked to, or referenced on Ticketmaster.co.nz (for example: Ticketmaster.com.au, Ticketmaster.com, and oss.ticketmaster.com). 4.3 A payment for Ticketmaster Products can be made partly using the Card and partly by other accepted payment methods (for example, credit or debit cards). In respect of online purchases at Ticketmaster.co.nz the full value of any unused funds remaining on the Card must be exhausted before another payment method will be accepted in respect of the remaining value of the transaction. In respect of telephone purchases, the full value of any unused funds does not have to be exhausted before another payment method will be accepted. 4.4 When using your Card for online transactions you will need the 3 digit security number written on the reverse of the Card in order to complete the transaction. In respect of e-Gift Card purchases, the 3 digit security number will be specified in the e-mail which contains your e-Gift Card.

5.1 You have right to redeem your Card for Ticketmaster Products for a period of 12 months from the date of activation. 5.2 You will not be able to use your Card once it has expired or claim a refund of any unused funds.

7.1 You should treat the Card as if it were cash. If you lose your Card you may lose any unused funds on it in just the same way as if you lost your wallet. 7.2 Your Card number and the three digit security number should be kept secret at all times and should not be disclosed to anyone other than to Ticketmaster.

8.1 Ticketmaster may terminate this agreement, cancel your Card, or refuse a transaction if we suspect the Card is being used fraudulently, or in an unauthorised or illegal manner, or if we have reason to believe that you are in breach of this agreement. 8.2 If we need to investigate a transaction on the Card then you must cooperate with us, the police or any other authorised body if this is required. 8.3 Ticketmaster can terminate this agreement and refund any unused funds to you at any time if we give you 30 days’ notice.

Any personal data which you may from time to time provide in connection with your Card shall be processed in accordance with Ticketmaster’s Privacy Policy which can be viewed online at ticketmaster.co.nz/h/privacy.

10.1 Ticketmaster will not accept liability for Cards which are lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission, unless Ticketmaster has caused this by its negligence. 10.2 Ticketmaster shall not be liable for loss of business, use, profit, anticipated profit, contracts, revenues, goodwill or anticipated savings; loss of data or use of data; or consequential, special or indirect loss or damage; even if it has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage. 10.3 Subject to the terms and conditions of this agreement, Ticketmaster shall have no liability to you beyond the amount of unused funds which remain on the Card on the earlier of the date on which: (a) the Card is cancelled by Ticketmaster; or (b) this agreement is terminated by Ticketmaster; or (c) the Card expires. 10.4 Nothing in this agreement seeks to exclude or limit any liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other type of liability which cannot by law be excluded or limited

Ticketmaster may change the terms and conditions of this agreement at any time by posting an amended version on Ticketmaster.co.nz for one or more of the following reasons: (a) to reflect the introduction or development of new systems, methods of operation, services or facilities; (b) to reflect a change or an expected change in market conditions, general good practice or the cost of providing services to our customers; (c) to conform with or anticipate any changes in the law or taxation, any codes of practice or recommendations of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand or other regulatory body; (d) to ensure that our business is run prudently and remains competitive; (e) to take account of a ruling by a court, ombudsman, regulator or similar body having legal or commercial jurisdiction over Ticketmaster; (f) to make the terms and conditions of this agreement fairer or clearer for you; (g) to rectify any mistake that might be discovered in due course; or (h) by agreement with you.

12.1 Any delay or failure to exercise any right or remedy under this agreement by Ticketmaster shall not be construed as a waiver of that right or remedy or preclude its exercise at any subsequent time. 12.2 If any provision of this agreement is deemed unenforceable or illegal, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. 12.3 We may assign our rights and benefits at any time without prior written notice to you. We may subcontract any of our obligations under this agreement. 12.4 No third party who is not a party to this agreement has a right to enforce any of the provisions of this agreement. 12.5 This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You irrevocably agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand in relation to any claim or matter arising out of or in connection with this agreement (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
